Who is a plant gift for?
We have 10 gifts of living indoor plants, such as cacti, pothos and a hanging spider plant, some in a glass vase or a decorated clay pot and a few sharing one box with a small cake or a cupcake. A plant lives for months on a colleague's desk or in a friend's living room and reminds them of you every time they water it, which makes it a good thank-you or a congratulations on a new job or a new home. For more ideas see gifts for colleagues and new home gifts.
How does a plant last longer?
It comes potted and ready with nothing to arrange; the recipient picks where and when it arrives through WhatsApp. Keep it in a bright spot out of direct sun and water it by type: a cactus needs only a little water every week or two, while pothos and spider plants like the soil slightly moist but never soaked. If a cake comes with it, serve it the same day and keep it cool until then.
